Come and enjoy the wonderful summer days

Tähtitorni cafe and summer bookstore

Tähtitorni Kahvila ja Kesäkirjakauppa is a summer culture cafe with plenty of events, from Elektorns to spiritual sports championships. The cafe also functions as an art gallery with changing art exhibitions throughout the summer. The tower is open from May Day until the end of September. On Facebook, you can check when we are open “like the last day”. You can get information about events and exhibitions from the Facebook page of the Tähtitornin kahvila.

In addition to culture, the cafe also offers good coffee and delicacies, most of which are prepared on site. The café has A rights (local Maistila beers are also available). Tähtitorn’s coffee shop is an all-weather ice cream kiosk with homemade ice cream as a specialty. The cafe is dog-friendly, and they also make their own dog ice cream for dogs.

A place to find affordable books

On the first floor of the building is the Kesäkirjakauppa, a place to find affordable and interesting books. There are also plenty of different Oulu-themed postcards for sale. Nispero Kustannus, whose books are published throughout the summer, also has a home in the Tähtitornin Kahvila. Nispero Kustannus publishes books (and audiobooks) from aphorisms and poems to prose and nonfiction. Nispero also produces music and has released LPs and CDs, as well as produced music for streaming services. Get to know the pictures of the Tähtitornin Kahvilan ja Kesäkirjakauppa at gallery.
